Madison Young
Madison Young is a country/pop songwriter from Ellsworth, Maine. Music has been a passion of hers since she was small. She began performing at the age of five and started developing her songwriting skills shortly thereafter. Madison has always enjoyed a close relationship with her family members and it was after the sudden passing of her paternal grandmother that she wrote a song that turned the page into the next chapter of her life. This song, entitled "Sleepyhead" was written at the age of fourteen as a tribute to her grandmother. Madison took her time before sharing this song, but eventually decided to perform it for an event at her school. She was surprised and positively affected by the people who later reached out to share with her how touched they were by the song and how it had helped them with the pain of losing someone close to them. This sharing of mutual pain and loss brought Madison to the decision that she wanted to become a songwriter in her future profession so she could connect with people during all moments of their lives--to cope with pain, celebrate love, or simply to enjoy living life.Â
Although a New Englander at heart, as a recent graduate from the Music Industry program at the University of Southern California, Madison has developed friendships on the West Coast and has spent much of her time working with Los Angeles writers, artists, and producers. She is embracing life as a bicoastal musician. Demos of her work will be released soon.
